A collision between two vehicles in Paola yesterday afternoon left a 56-year-old woman in critical condition.

Police said the incident happened in Santa Lucia Avenue at 4.20pm. A Toyota Corolla, driven by the woman, from Għaxaq, was involved in a collision with an Erf 3 Axle that was being driven by a 52-year-old man from Fgura.

After the impact with the other vehicle, the Toyota also hit a wall. Police said the male driver was not injured.

Duty Magistrate Doreen Clarke was informed.
