Foreign Affairs Minister George Vella yesterday discussed the crisis in Libya and irregular migration with the Italian Under-Secretary for Europe, Sandro Gozi.

They discussed both countries’ efforts to raise awareness among European states about the crisis in the North African country.

Dr Vella praised the Mare Nostrum project, saying he hoped Europe would get more involved in the irregular migration issue so that southern European countries would not remain alone.
