The article entitled ‘Parliamentary Secretary reveals some V18 plans’, published in the timesofmalta.com on November 27 and by Times of Malta the following day, erroneously linked the setting up of a Creative Industrial Council with St James Centre for Creativity in Valletta.

Parliamentary Secretary José Herrera did not make any reference to a ‘Creative Industrial Council’ but elaborated on the development of a new agency with a remit to develop further the festival profile of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts. The parliamentary secretary also emphasised the importance of the creative economy and went on to elaborate on the restructuring of the culture and arts council as a national agency for the development of cultural and creative industries.

St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity was mentioned within the context of V.18 and stronger ties, which are being established between public cultural organisations to ensure better coordination and programming.
