Crane Currency Malta recently presented a donation of €2,500 to Michelle Muscat as chairwoman of the Marigold Foundation.

The foundation, founded in 2014 and supported by Bank of Valletta, aims to raise awareness of challenges faced by modern society, working through communities, schools, NGOs and young people.

The main objective of the Marigold Foundation is to positively enpower people and to work with them to raise standards, support initiatives and strenghten voices. Mrs Muscat explained in detail the work being done by the foundaion in various areas of Maltese society and the challenges ahead.

Mrs Muscat has been very active in raising funds for the foundation through several personal initiatives, her most recent being a swim starting from the Ta’ Fra Ben area in St Paul’s Bay to Marsamxett Harbour.

Alexandra Agius, HR manager at Crane Currency Malta Ltd, said it was the Crane culture to build strong effective partnerships in every community where it operated. It actively supports local charitable and philanthropic efforts with direct funding and also through its Charitable Ambassador Programme.

“Crane Currency has always regarded community responsibility as part of its corporate identity. It was a hallmark of the Crane family to participate in building the surrounding communities – and Crane Currency Malta will continue to encourage a strong corporate citizen focus. We have some very exciting initiatives in mind,” Ms Agius said.

Office manager Stephanie Micallef and maintenance technician Jason Vella also attended the presentation, which was made on behalf of the current workforce of Crane Currency Malta Ltd.
