St Benedict’s College Girls Secondary Tarxien recently organised a craft course for parents as part of a life-long education programme.

The five-month course was conducted by Carmen Abdilla, a textiles studies teacher and Carmen Borg, a learning support assistant.

During the course, parents were taught a number of craft techniques such as tie-dye and cottage crafts using mostly recycled materials.

An exhibition of their work was held in the school foyer.

A similar course will be organised next year.
