A short course on spirituality led by Fr Alex Zammit MSSP will be held at the Missionary Society of St Paul Oratory in Birkirkara on May 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 7.15pm.

The course deals with the Holy Spirit, which for many remains one of the most elusive subjects in the Christian faith. Many associate the Spirit with something – rather than someone – abstract that has little to no consequence to the experience of faith.

The course, entitled ‘The Spirit of Sonship’, seeks to locate the Holy Spirit first and foremost in the life of Jesus, in whom the Spirit dwelt in his fullness, making Jesus the beloved Son of the Father. Fr Zammit will argue that Jesus’ mission is fulfilled only when he sends the same Spirit to those who call themselves his disciples, marking them on the level of their identity. Therefore, the Christian faithful cannot truly speak of a ‘spiritual’ life unless they are sensitive to the presence and work of the Holy Spirit.

Attendance is open to all against a €15 donation. For enquiries and bookings, call 9927 7648 or e-mail oratorju@mssp.org.mt.
