A couple from Gozo were yesterday charged with attacking a family member in an argument over property.

Saviour Camilleri, 64, and Rita Camilleri, 63, from Nadur denied causing a slight injury to their relative during the argument. Mr Camilleri was also charged with attempting to seriously injure the victim by hitting her on the head with a straw basket containing a thermos.

The police did not release the name of the victim. The two pleaded not guilty and were granted bail.
