A Maltese couple are being considered for the process of canonisation for their united love towards God and living their lives according to the teachings of Christ.

Writing in his blog on the online news portal newsbook. com.mt, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech said he was surprised to hear the announcement during the ongoing bishops’ Synod in Rome.

The Prefect of Congregation of Saints mentioned Malta in his intervention and said there was a Maltese couple, Inez and Henry Casolani, who had a case for canonisation. They died in the 1990s.

The process has still not started but a request has been made for the research to start, he explained.
