The Cosmos Wind Ensemble is joining forces with Italian pianist Roberto Cominati to present Cosmos-Cominati at the Manoel Theatre on Tuesday.

The concert, a celebration of classics for winds and piano, will feature works by Chopin, Nielsen and Grammy Award-winning jazz composer Paquito D’Rivera. The musicians will take the stage together to close the programme with Mozart’s evergreen Serenade for Winds and Piano.

Born in Naples in 1969, Cominati is one of Italy’s leading pianists and frequent performer at the Manoel.

He has performed at prestigious venues and festivals and has appeared with leading European orchestras as well as in Japan and Australia, under the baton of conductors such as Daniel Harding, Yuri Ahronovitch, Gabriele Ferro and Aleksandr Lazarev.
