The Italian Cultural Institute in Malta is holding a concert of contemporary Italian chamber music for soprano, clarinet and piano by the Synapsis Trio at the Casino Maltese, Valletta, on Friday, at 8pm.

Entitled Italian ‘Humanist’ Music Today, the concert will feature the works – including some premiere performances – of composers Federico Biscione, Alberto Cara, Marco Gatto, Paolo Coggiola and Alessandro Cusatelli and Giampaolo Testoni, one of Italy’s leading contemporary composers.

Some of the composers will be present at the concert to talk about their works.

The Synapsis Trio is made up of Giorgia Teodoro (soprano), Mariagaia Di Tommaso (clarinet) and Andrea Bosa (piano).

Entrance is free and the dress code is smart casual.
