• If an essential part of the holiday booked is changed before departure, consumers may opt to cancel the booking and get their money back.

• Consumers may claim compensation for any discrepancies with the original package.

• Change in plans or cancellations due to extraordinary or unavoidable circumstances are not covered by law.

• The price stated in the contract cannot be changed unless the charges relate to transport costs, taxes, or the exchange rate.

• Holiday problems should be reported at once, so the organiser has the opportunity to remedy the situation.

• Complaints about package holidays may be filed with the Office for Consumer Affairs.
