Once again the subject of mini-roundabouts comes up.
I have lived abroad for a number of years, mostly in England where one tends to find many mini-roundabouts. These are almost always found in urban, especially residential, areas. It is frequently impossible to negotiate them without driving over them.
This is not an offence, because their purpose is to establish right of way: nothing more, nothing less.
For instance, the one located near the residence of the US Ambassador has been very carelessly sited. It is actually dangerous to negotiate when approaching from the Rabat road and driving towards the back of San Anton.
Drivers coming down Old Railway Road cannot understand what the situation in front of them represents, because the violent manoeuvres the other driver has to make invariably cancels out the indicators.
By the way, where can one buy a printed copy of the Malta Highway Code?
