An international conference on ‘Border Securities: Human Experiences’ is being held by the University’s Department of Civil law and the Institute of Criminology, with the support of the USEmbassy, at the Dolmen Resort Hotel, Qawra, on Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Keynote lectures will be delivered by Maurizio Albahari of the University of Notre Dame, who is currently conducting anthropological research in Lampedusa, and Terence Coonan, an expert in asylum and human trafficking law and executive director of Florida University’s Centre for the Advancement of Human Rights.
