Between 2008 and March 2013 Peter Fenech received a total of €163,340.38 as board secretary or chairman of the Mediterranean Conference Centre and €26,107.07 as chairman of the Manoel Theatre board, for a cumulative total of €189,447.45.

Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis gave the information in reply to a PQ by Carmelo Abela (PL).

As board secretary and then chairman of the MCC, Dr Fenech’s pay of €2,795.25 for each of 1998 and 1999 was increased to €8,676.92 for 2000, then to €10,482.18 for each year from 2001 to 2007 and subsequently to €13,974.96 per year from 2008 to 2012. In 2013, the year of the change of government, he received €5,822.90.

As chairman of the board of the Manoel Theatre, he received €5,823.43 a year from 2007 to 2009 and €8,636.78 in 2010.
