Foreign Minister George Vella yesterday signed the book of condolences of former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher at the British High Commission in Ta’ Xbiex. Britain’s first and only female Prime Minister, nicknamed the Iron Lady, died of a stroke, aged 87, on Monday. The Government will send a representative to attend the funeral, which will be held on Wednesday at St Paul’s Cathedral in London.
