The second edition of The Compost Festival is being held tomorrow in Mġarr.

This festival will host a variety of workshops and documentaries on compost, permaculture and sustainability, besides live music.

The event is based on the ‘gift economy’ model. This means that all people involved gift their time, money and energy into bringing this event for the benefit of all the community. Ways to give back include loving acts of kindness, monetary contributions to cover expenses to support the continuation of such events and getting involved as a volunteer.

Australian band Formidable Vegetable Sound System and local act MusicPlayground will entertain the crowd. Healthy local and seasonal food and drink will also be available.

The event will be held tomorrow from 9am to 11pm at Vincent’s Eco Farm in Triq il-Qanfud, Żebbiegħ, Mġarr. For the full programme, look up the Facebook page The Compost Festival. The event is hosted by Garbage to Gardens, Thrive-Permaculture Solutions, Vincent’s Eco-Farm, Permaculture Malta and NGO Why Not?
