The Commissioner for Information and Data Protection received 275 complaints between 2007 and 2011, mostly regarded processes that went counter to criteria established in the Data Protection Act.

Other categories of complaints included unwelcome communications sent by e-mail or SMS, credit referencing agencies, rights of access, CCTV and streaming cameras.

The information was given by Justice Minister Chris Said, answering a PQ by Nationalist MP Franco Debono.
