International online gaming company World Match has opened a sales office at Smart City Malta. It will be hosting its sales team for the Maltese market at the new office, which will also provide a meeting place for consultants to discuss and define new business strategies.
Andrea Boratto, World Match executive director, said: “Besides being supported by cutting-edge infrastructure and unique lifestyle amenities, Smart City Malta also hosts many service providers, including the Malta Gaming Authority, which is an added benefit for our industry.
“Given this proximity to some of our clients and coupled with the breath-taking views of the lagoon and the azure Mediterranean Sea, this is an ideal location for our new sales office”.
Following the inauguration of the new sales office, World Match will now be increasing its sales team in Malta. The recruitment process is expected to start imminently, where the company will be seeking to recruit sales representatives for different European markets in order to strengthen the penetration of World Match in new EU markets.
ISO certification for EY Malta Managed Services centre
EY Malta Managed Services has been awarded ISO 27001 certification. The centre was launched in February 2015 during a seminar that EY Malta held in London. It currently employs more than 50 staff members.
ISO 27001 is an international standard related to information security management. It ensures that a systematic approach is adopted to manage sensitive company information so that it remains secure.
Managed Services supports the ongoing need of clients in reducing cost, increasing flexibility and meeting regulatory requirements including remediation services, transaction monitoring and know your customer screening, cybersecurity, tax reporting solutions and other advisory services.
“ISO certification will enhance our current service offering and guarantee the highest level of security to our clients,” said Joette Mallia, who heads EY Malta’s Managed Services.
Ronald Attard, managing partner of EY Malta, pointed out that EY has invested heavily in Managed Services, having its own dedicated premises with special security access.
“We are incredibly satisfied to have secured ISO certification within our first year of operations. This will now allow us to keep expanding the amount of work we take on and the number of people we can train and recruit in this area,” said Mr Attard.
