DHL has inaugurated its newly-expanded hub for the Americas at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky (CVG) Airport. The event marks the culmination of a $105-million, four-year effort to enhance this facility to meet the growing international shipping demand of large multinational corporations as well as small business customers.
The enhancements include a new 16,700m2 sorting facility to accommodate larger express shipments, an expanded south ramp for additional widebody aircraft, an employee and pilot building, and a facility-wide information technology upgrade.
The CVG global hub sits at the heart of the DHL US network, with flights connecting customers from over 220 countries and territories worldwide to every corner of the US.
With a focus on continuously improving its international network, DHL recently launched new direct flights between CVG and Japan and increased capacity into Australia.
New Nokia Lumia 925 with pioneering camera
The Nokia Lumia 925 is the first Windows Phone to incorporate aluminum into its design, with an advanced new camera, 8.7 megapixel PureView with optical image stabilisation and dual LED flash.
“Thanks to the advanced new lens design and new imaging algorithms Nokia has pushed the boundaries of what is possible on a smartphone,” according to Adrianna Zammit, country manager for Malta at Microsoft.
“This camera’s sixth physical lens is able to take in five times more light than competing smartphones, for sharp, naturally-coloured images and 1080p HD video, even under challenging conditions. Its new Smart Camera feature captures five megapixel shots in a short burst and lets you edit them using one-touch editing options.”
Lumia 925 comes with the latest Microsoft Windows Phone 8 operating system that includes a small number of improvements and upgrades.
The Nokia Lumia 925 is available in Malta through Vodafone.
