Five companies were last week awarded prizes by the Malta Communications Authority (MCA) in recognition of their successfully implemented or developed innovative ICT solutions
Eighteen finalists were selected out of 35 applications by an independent adjudicating panel representing members from industry, government and academia. The participants in the third edition of the eBusiness awards represented a wide spectrum of industries and technologies, with businesses ranging from self-employed individuals to some of the largest companies in Malta.
New to this year’s event, is a special award to acknowledge the efforts of a local student who has excelled in an area of research related to eBusiness.
Anne Marie Bajada, who completed an MBA in eBusiness at the University of Malta, won an award for her dissertation entitled ‘Driving along the Cyber Highway – an end-users’ perception of security and privacy in today’s digital society’.
Smart City Malta supported MCA in this event and presented the award for the best Business-to-Business Application.
