Parliament yesterday read for the first time a Bill providing for the creation of the post of Commissioner for Taxes. The motion was moved by the minister for Finance.

It also gave a third reading to the Communications Laws (Amendment) Bill, which amends various other laws relating to communications sectors enforced by the Malta Communications Authority. These include the Electronic Communications (Regulation) Act, and the Malta Communications Authority Act.
