Three students from St Nicholas College Girls’ Secondary School, accompanied by teachers Susan Saliba and Marisa Tabone, recently travelled to Manchester as part of the Comenius project, ‘Our European Newspaper’.

During the trip, they visited Crossgates Primary School in Milnrow, Greater Manchester, where they observed an open classroom and learnt about the day-to-day management of the school, as well as special activities held throughout the year.

They watched two dance and music presentations performed by students from the school, and they also toured Oulder Hill Secondary School, which specialises in language teaching.

They visited Rochdale Town Hall, the Imperial War Museum and Manchester United Football Club, as well as Manchester Cathedral and the art gallery.

Other groups involved in the project from Norway, Poland, Finland and the Czech Republic were also present.
