For people new to the BeMixed project, it is essentially an open musical network inviting musicians anywhere in the world to add their parts to basic tracks that are uploaded onto the project’s website.

The first set of tracks attracted a great deal of interest from various countries, among them Holland, the US, France and, of course, Malta, and more importantly Gozo, where the project’s two founders, Frenchman Christophe Ladret and Dutchman Daniel Talma are based.

The first six tracks were released earlier this year as Reel 1; the first instalment of what will hopefully stretch out into a long series of releases under the name of A Transatlantic Pact.

Work on the second series of initial tracks started during the summer, and five new tracks, once again consisting of drums and Chapman stick, are now available online. These can be downloaded either from the BeMixed website as well as creative collaboration websites Talent House and Hyped Sound.

Vocalists and musicians everywhere are once again urged to get involved and play their part in putting together the songs that will feature on Reel 2.
