Students from the three secondary schools of St Theresa College that are participating in the Entrepreneurship Through Education Scheme 2016 project, recently visited Camilleri Group of Companies.
Managing director Tonio Camilleri gave the students an overview of the company’s history and how the business evolved and diversified from simply being a sweet shop to one involved in catering, clothing and fashion.
Prior to the visit, the students attended lectures at the University’s Edward DeBono Institute for Creativity and Innovation on how to set up a company, research a market and create prototypes.
The students have set up a company within the college, which believes that providing students with entrepreneurship education is providing them with alternative career pathways to pursue.
