Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has signed a one-year contract extension that ties him to the Italian champions until June 2018.

Allegri took over from Antonio Conte in July 2014 and has enjoyed a trophy-laden two years at the club, winning two Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia and one Italian Super Cup alongside last season’s appearance in the Champions League final against Barcelona in Berlin.

The 48-year-old’s existing contract ran until June 2017 and has been renewed with a potential domestic double on the horizon with Juventus, who recently secured their fifth straight league title, facing Allegri’s former club Milan in the Coppa Italia final at Rome’s Olympic Stadium on May 21.
