I make this comment from Australia, perhaps without full knowledge of what is being proposed for City Gate.
However, my instinctive reaction to the artist’s impression and the accompanying presentation is, without hesitation, one of major concern. It seems that the various structures plus the rows of trees will impact on the open space needed to allow an unhindered 360-degree viewing of the iconic Triton Fountain, the focal point of Triton Square. Vincent Apap was my art teacher at the Lyceum. I assisted him, in a minor way, in a couple of his pro-jects. That makes Triton a personal interest.
