The European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC) is holding the next concert in the Classical Music Stars in Malta series on Tuesday.
The concert features violinist Aiman Musakhodzhaeva who will perform a classical and modern repertoire accompanied by pianist Natalia Sokolovskaya. Pieces include compositions by Tomaso Antonio Vitali, Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns and Johannes Brahms, among others.
Musakhodzhaeva is the rector of the Kazakh National University of Arts and winner of many international competitions. Since 1993, she has been a member of the jury of the international violin competition Pyotr Chaykovskiy (Moscow, Russia) as well judging several other such competitions.
A professor at the Moscow, Almaty and Bishkek conservatories, Musakhodzhaeva has had an active and fruitful teaching career. She has coached the winners of several competitions and gives master classes in Europe, Asia and the US.
She was awarded the People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1986 and was named a Unesco Artist for Peace in 1998.
