Brian Cini beat Sweden’s Ben-jamin McCabe 4-0 to book his place in the semi-finals of the European Under-17 Open, currently being played in Malta.

Scottish player Joseph Mclaren now stands between Cini and a place in the final.

In the other quarter-finals, Mclaren beat Brandon Sargeant (England) 4-1, Darryl Hill (Isle of Man) accounted for Kamil Zubryzcki (Poland) 4-1 and Mateusz Baranowski (Poland) eliminated Olli Pekka Virho, of Finland, 4-1.
