The SPCA has launched its new ‘Sponsor a dog or cat’ campaign.

For €1 a week, animal lovers can sponsor a dog or a cat that is resident at the SPCA Home in Floriana. These dogs and cats may never be re-homed because some of them have been so badly treated.

By sponsoring a dog or cat for €1 a week, one will get a sponsorship pack which consists of an ID card of one’s chosen pet, an SPCA car sticker, automatic membership of the SPCA, a copy of the Animal Watch magazine and your dog or cat will ‘write’ to you during the year starting with Christmas.

“It makes the perfect Christmas present for any animal lover or for your children, grandparents, work colleagues and for that person who is impossible to buy for,” said SPCA fundraising manager Sue Simons.

All dogs and cats can be visited at the SPCA Home with some special open days especially for sponsors.
