Young Women’s Christian Association members visited Dar Qalb Ta’ Gesu on December 15 to deliver hampers containing food items for Christmas Day lunch to all families residing at the home.

The home is a second stage shelter for women and child-ren who have been victims of domestic violence.

Administrator Judith Debono explained that the shelter helps mothers and children regain their self-esteem and learn skills to move on to an independent life.

Mary Jones urged mothers to take advantage of the scholarships and courses offered by YWCA.
