I read with interest the article Valley Flora Being Slowly Choked By Invasive Plant (The Times, March 9).

On February 19, as a member of the Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar Tree Group. I brought the situation in Valley Road, Birkirkara to their attention and sent them this photo, showing a similar invasion, taken in Alabama, US.

Unless something is done immediately, this will be the fate of the trees in Valley Road.
