Four- and five-year old students at St Catherine’s School, Pembroke, recently visited Drs Demajo Dental and Implantology Clinics to learn about oral and dental healthcare.

Basic oral healthcare principals were highlighted and oral hygiene instructions given.

Each student was examined and treatments were planned, with the emphasis on individual oral care requirements and the prevention of tooth decay.

The children were then given a bag of treats including a toothbrush, toothpaste and oral healthcare patient information leaflets.

Students also received a Playmobil dentist or nurse figurine.

A minimal fee was charged per student, which will be donated to a local charity.

The event was sponsored by Playmobil and by VJ Salamone Marketing, representatives of Oral-B.
