Having spent hours on end studying for their mid-yearly exams, children and their families can let their hair down for Children’s Cinema Day on March 14.

Twelve films have been lined up for KRS Releasing Ltd’s 30th edition of the biannual event across all cinemas in Malta and Gozo. A variety of genres, ranging from animation adventures to comedies, action adventure sci-fi to historical drama and comedy drama to comedy family fantasy, will be screened.

Films in Malta will run between 9am and 7pm. In Gozo, there will be screenings at the Citadel cinema at 4pm and 6pm and at Don Bosco Oratory at 2pm and 5pm. Admission is €2.50 for children and €4 for accompanying adults.

The films showing are Paddington, Jupiter Ascending, Annie, Into the Woods, Legend of the Neverbeast, Shaun the Sheep Movie, Exodus: Gods and Kings, Night at the Museum Secret of the Tomb, The Hobbit, Big Hero 6, Penguins of Madagascar and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
