For the third consecutive year, Kingfisher Sport Fishing Association Malta is organising what has become an annual fishing marathon, where children aged six to 12 fish in aid of young children at Qalb It-Tfal.

Qalb It-Tfal is a foundation that offers psychological, emotional, materialistic and financial support to patients, their relatives and staff of NPICU (Neonate Paediatric Intensive Care Unit), and to children who are psychologically, physically or emotionally neglected.

This year’s event is taking place today along the Marsascala promenade. There will be a minimum donation of €5 for every child fishing, all of which will go towards the cause. The meeting place will be on the promenade near Brighton at 4.30pm.

KSFA members will be on the spot to offer fishing techniques to the children. If your child does not possess a fishing rod and line, KSFA will provide these. One is asked to take a bucket and some bait.

Participating children will be presented with a medal commemorating the event.

There will also be a bouncy castle and face-painting sessions.

The activity is taking place along the Marsascala promenade today between 5 and 8pm.
