Guus Hiddink will be looking for his first win as Chelsea manager as the Blues face London rivals Crystal Palace tomorrow afternoon.

The Dutchman, who was handed the job to replace Jose Mourinho last month, has so far only managed two points following a 2-2 home draw against Watford and a goalless draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

His task this weekend is anything but easy as the champions face a Crystal Palace side that have performed above expectations and are currently fifth on 31 points, eight points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Palace manager Alan Pardew will be hoping to have Connor Wickham and Yannick Bolasie available after suffering injuries in recent matches.

Hiddink is urging his players to show more desire in their play and Tuesday’s spirited performance against Manchester United will surely have lifted the Dutchman’s spirits.

Although the critics has written off Chelsea for a top-four position, this week their player Willian said the Blues could go and win game by game and aspire for a lofty final placing in the standings.

Palace and Chelsea only played six times in the Premier League and the home side won only once.

Meanwhile, many pundits are asking whether Leicester could bounce back from their defeat to Liverpool and goalless draw against Manchester City with victory over Bournemouth this afternoon at the King Power Stadium.

After everything Leicester have achieved this season, the heights to which they have soared and the odds they have defied along the way, it almost seems unfair to say that their real challenge is still to come.

Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri has told his players to enjoy their football and not be restricted by their high placing.

Pressure will only increase as the second half of the season begins to tick down and Ranieri is keen to avoid a repeat of what he saw at Anfield where his side looked over-anxious before losing 1-0.

At Manchester City, Manuel Pellegrini believes his players are learning to cope without captain Vincent Kompany at the heart of their defence.

Kompany lasted just eight minutes on his return from injury before going off again last week. City play at Watford this evening looking to keep the pace with Arsenal and Leicester at the top.

Arsene Wenger was delighted to see the Gunners on the winning track again following the 4-0 hiding to Southampton before Christmas.

This afternoon, Arsenal play hosts to relegation-troubled Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger again insisted he will not be rushing into the transfer market despite having a few key players sidelined with injury.

Tomorrow at Goodison Park, Everton tackle Tottenham.

In midweek, the Toffees lost 3-4 at home to Stoke, while the in-form Spurs won at Watford.

Midfielder Tom Cleverley believes Everton must combine pretty and gritty if they are to find their deserved place in the top four of the Premier League.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino insists no money in the world can take Harry Kane away from White Hart Lane as this week Spurs also welcomed a special guest with former star player Osvaldo Ardiles visiting White Hart Lane before encouraging the players to continue with their fine season.

At Old Trafford, Manchester United duel with Swansea City following their home draw against champions Chelsea with their manager Louis van Gaal under constant pressure as Liverpool, following their significant wins over Leicester City and Sunderland, travel to London to face West Ham United.
