Forty cyclists will be covering an endurance route of 720km from London to Brussels to Paris in July to raise funds for breast cancer research in Malta.

The money will go towards projects funded by the University’s Research, Innovation and Development Trust.

Called Malta Airport ALIVE 2013 Cycling Challenge for Cancer, the charity ride is endorsed by the President’s wife Margaret Abela, the Prime Minister’s wife Michelle Muscat and the Opposition Leader’s wife Kate Gonzi.

The cyclists will aim to raise at least €1,800 each.

Applications for interested participants are open until Saturday and can be obtained by sending a message on Facebook or by e-mailing alivecyclingchallenge@gmail.com or alivecharityfoundation@gmail.com.

Donations to ALIVE 2013 can be made online at www.alivecharity.com.
