Drama Queens, the amateur drama society for women, will next week be raising money for the Alive Charity Foundation with another show, Agatha Crusty and the Mighty Midget Murders, being staged at Sun City in Qawra.

“Having wanted to put on a murder mystery for some time, we are very excited about this play,” says Andrea Llewellyn, chairwoman of Drama Queens, who will also be directing the show.

The story of Agatha Crusty and the Mighty Midget Murders sees employees and their partners at Might Midget Vacuum Cleaners gathering for a Murder Mystery Dinner party to celebrate 10 successful years’ business.

What sounded like a fun-filled evening quickly turns sour when ‘life imitates fiction’.

When the guests are cut off by a storm and river floods, there is a power failure. When the lights come back on, they all discover that one of the guests has been murdered... Since everybody else was together when the murder was committed, they are as perplexed as they are worried.

Then, when another murder happens, it is no laughing matter… the audience will be kept guessing as well as laughing.

• Agatha Crusty and the Mighty Midget Murders is being staged at Sun City Qawra on Sunday, June 26, and Monday, June 27, at 7.30pm.

There will only be 100 tickets costing €4 per show and they are being sold online, in collaboration with Alive charity, at http://buytickets.at/alivecharityfoundation1/54281

Tickets may also be obtained at Sun City on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 7pm and 11pm and on Sundays from 3pm to 6pm. They are also available at Hair Flair Salon in Qawra daily between 9am and 5pm.
