The annual charity dinner organised by the Maltese French Chamber of Commerce was held at Villa Arrigo, San Pawl tat-Tarġa.

The event, which was well attended and was held under the auspices of French Ambassador Michel Vandepoorter and Mrs Vandepoorter, was hosted by the chamber’s president Mark Miggiani and Mrs Miggiani together with council members.

The president and council extended their appreciation to the guests who supported the event, particularly executive head, Business Relationships at Bank of Valletta, Noel Scerri, a sponsor of the chamber.

The event raised €2,600 in aid of Dar Qalb ta’ Ġesù, represented by Mgr Victor Zammit McKeon, who gave the guests a brief overview of the sterling work carried out by this non-profit organisation.

The evening also included a raffle with prizes generously donated by several members. One original prize was the right to have one’s own portrait painted by French artist Philippe Cavelart.

An auction of three oil paintings by former AFM Brigadier Maurice Calleja was also held.
