Malta Enterprise is holding a two-month course in exporting aimed at providing a foundation of knowledge and expertise to enable participants to confidently choose and pursue their company’s export orientation.
Emphasis will be placed on the practicalities
Lectures start on Tuesday and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday.
The programme is aimed at staff in industry, primarily manufacturers. It is especially relevant to personnel in micro and medium-sized enterprises who are looking to export markets for the first time.
The programme will also be useful to those who have some export experience, as well as those who are seeking to refine their export management skills.
The Certificate Course in Export Management aims to provide participants with understanding and competence in both the theoretical and practical aspects of export management.
It is intended to be a practical course on the fundamentals and the various techniques of export management practices, giving a better understanding of the various export functional management areas and how they integrate in achieving the necessary organisational goals within the exporting industry.
The content offers a combination of practical and conceptual inputs designed to promote interaction and exchange of experience coupled with case studies and problem-solving exercises.
It will enable the participants to understand the complex exporting environment they are operating in.
The course, which is being organised with the support of the Malta Institute of Management, will seek to blend the presenters’ and tutors’ experience with some of the key concepts and approaches on which the topics are based.
Emphasis will be placed on the practicalities of the various facets of export management from trade to export, marketing to finance, IT techniques to legal views, among a number of other areas. Quality study material supports this programme.
Lectures will also include case studies and other training techniques as necessary.
The course has been accredited with 44 hours of structured Continuing Professional Education (5.5 hours per module) and qualifies for the attainment of professional competencies in terms of the Malta Institute of Accountants CPE regulations.
