Celtic will face either Astana of Kazakhstan or Zalgiris Vilnius of Lithuania in the Champions League third qualifying round if they manage to overcome Lincoln Red Imps.

The Hoops are favourites to reach the next stage despite an embarrassing 1-0 loss to part-timers Lincoln in the first leg of their second-round tie.

Manager Brendan Rodgers suffered a humiliating first game in charge when a second-half goal from Ministry of Defence police officer Lee Casciaro condemned the Scottish champions to defeat in Gibraltar.

The draws, held in Nyon, Switzerland yesterday, were preceded by a moment’s silence for the Nice attack on Thursday night.

The first was for the league route, made up of Monaco, the third-placed team in France last season, plus the league runners-up from the European associations ranked seventh to 15th in UEFA's coefficients.

The second draw was the champions route, involving the 17 winners of the second qualifying round ties (the second legs are next week) plus the champions of Greece, the Czech Republic and Romania.
