An evening guided walk is being held at the Majjistral Park this evening to celebrate the longest day and the shortest night of the year.

Volunteer nature walks guide Annalise Falzon will take participants on a sunset walk along the cliffs and amid the wild thyme of Rdum Majjiesa.

It is encouraged to wear comfortable shoes for rugged terrain and suitable clothing. Besides, one should bring water and a small torch.

The walk, about four kilometres long, starts at 6.30pm and is expected to finish at around 9pm.

Meeting place is near Golden Bay bus stop (close to Apple’s Eye restaurant).

This is a free programme for all ages.

More information may be obtained from the park online at www.majjistral.org or by sending an e-mail to info@majjistral.org.

Entrance to the park is free. Visitors are to take care of their own safety and that of any accompanying children.

Note the park terrain is not suitable for pushchairs. Children are to stay alongside parents at all times of the walk.
