The remainder of Catania’s Serie A game against Roma, which was suspended in the 65th minute due to a waterlogged pitch at the Stadio Angelo Massimino on Saturday with the score at 1-1, will be played next month.

The Italian football league have confirmed that the final 25 minutes of the match will take place on February 7 at 20.45 – but only if Roma fail to qualify for the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Should the Giallorossi progress to the last four of the cup, the league game will resume on February 15 at 2000.

Roma face Juventus in Turin in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia next Tuesday.

Meanwhile, other changes have also been confirmed regarding Week 22 Serie A fixtures.

Cesena-Catania and Roma-Inter will be played on Saturday, February 4, while Genoa-Lazio is the Sunday lunch-time kick-off.

The Milan-Napoli showdown at the San Siro concludes the round on the evening of Sunday, February 5.
