Studio 18, in collaboration with Valletta 2018 and ŻiguŻajg Festival, is seeking to recruit six young performers from age 13 to 17 to participate in a project which is to form part of the Valletta 2018 Cultural Programme.

The studio is looking for young performance artists from all areas, be it actors, singers, musicians, dancers or musical theatre performers.

The selected candidates will receive training in the lead-up to the project and will be given the opportunity to work with national and international creatives.

The team will partake in weekly sessions on Tuesday evenings as of September.

The process will culminate in a devised piece set to premiere during the eighth edition of ŻiguŻajg Festival in November 2018.

For the audition, candidates will be requested to present a short performance lasting not more than three minutes that combines any of their performing talents – monologue/stand-up comedy/storytelling/ song/dance.

Deadline for applications is Monday, July 24.

First auditions are being held  at Studio A, St James Cavalier, on August 7 between 1pm and 4pm and on August 8 from 9am to 11am. Recall auditions will be held on August 8 at 1.30pm. More information may be obtained by phone on 2122 3200.
