Careerpassport, the online recruiting system, has continued to develop its social media integration strategy with the introduction of a Facebook app.

Employers and recruiters are able to use their company Facebook page to display vacancies and accept applications directly from the social network. The app is activated through companies’ Facebook pages.

Vacancies are automatically featured online and candidates may apply using their Careerpassport profile through Facebook.

Candidates are able to apply for jobs without leaving Facebook. This will automatically increase the response rate for employers.

Careerpassport enables HR managers and recruiters to benefit from more exposure by publishing their vacancies through Twitter, Linkedin and Facebook updates.

Careerpassport, which was recently awarded the MCA e-Business award for Best B2B solution of 2012, has introduced an interview scheduler and a task management system to complement its applicant tracking software.

“We are constantly updating Careerpassport with our IT developers to improve the system’s functionality and up our game,” head of business Matthew Caruana said.

“This Facebook app is like having a career page within Facebook. We are exploiting social media to bring in tangible results for clients. Employers can now benefit from more advertising and improved employer branding.”
