British Prime Minister David Cameron is to visit Algeria in the wake of the hostage crisis that left six Britons dead, it was revealed last night.

The Prime Minister will be travelling to the African country to meet his counterpart Abdelmalek Sellal today. He will also be attending an international development conference in the Liberian capital, Monrovia.

Some 37 foreigners, at least 10 Algerians and dozens of terrorists died in the attack on the In Amenas gas plant, which is jointly operated by BP, earlier this month.
