The Union of Cabin Crew has filed an industrial dispute with Air Malta over leave and told its members not to work on their off days, claiming the airline was not being flexible.

The action would not jeopardise safety and would sustain the flight schedule.

Cabin crew were being asked to report for duty on most days off, so some have reached their 12-month flying upper limit, the union said.
