More vehicles entered Valletta after the CVA system was changed and averaged less time parked there, Transport Minister Joe Mizzi said in Parlia-ment yesterday.

The number of vehicles driven into Valletta between December 2, 2013 and February 28, 2014 was 910,941, an increase of 23,149 on the same period the year before.

The average time a vehicle spent parked was 3.84 hours against 4.11 in 2012-13.

Answering a PQ by Toni Bezzina (PN), Mr Mizzi said the figures contradicted the fears expressed by Valletta local council overthe changes.
