CSB Group and the Institute of Financial Services – Malta (ifs Malta) have joined forces to organise a training course in Collective Investment Schemes.

Taking place over a span of 10 hours, scheduled on October 9, 10, 15 and 17 , the training sessions will be held at the Sonata Conference Hall, Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel in St Julian’s.

The aim of this course is to introduce attendees to the main concepts and practical aspects of collective investment schemes. This will be achieved by analysing the provisions contained in the Maltese legal framework underpinning the various types of collective investment scheme (CIS) licences and the most recent legal developments brought about by the transposition of the Altern-ative Investment Fund Managers Directive into Maltese law. Among the various items on the agenda one can find an analysis of the various collective investment scheme licences; the vehicles available to promoters wishing to license a CIS; AIFMD and the Maltese regulatory scenario post AIFMD transposition.

Practitioners who may benefit from the course include accountants, financial services officers, bankers, lawyers and corporate services officers –all practitioners who require practical information about collective investment schemes and on the most recent legal developments in the field.

As a further incentive, CSB Group and ifs Malta have communicated that they are in the process of making arrangements for accountants registered for this programme to claim structured CPE hours.
