Do you have a great business project that could make Europe greener but don’t know how to get it off the ground? EIP (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme) aims to achieve better access to finance for SMEs, to support services for business and innovation delivered through a network of regional centres, to promote entrepreneurship and innovation and to support policy-making that encourages entrepreneurship and innovation. The new Europe 2020 strategy aims to transform the EU into a smarter, greener and more inclusive economy.

The three main aspects of CIP Eco-Innovation (Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme) are environmental benefits, economic benefits (including wide replication) and the contribution of projects to innovation.

The main priority areas are materials recycling, sustainable building products, the food and drink sector, water and greening businesses.

This call is open to all legal persons that are based in eligible countries but the priority will be given to SMEs. Clusters of applicants and projects which demonstrate a European added value and have a high potential for market replication are strongly encouraged.

The calls for proposals are open to all legal persons located in one of the following countries: the 27 EU member states; Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein; Albania, Croatia, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Israel, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey; Other non-EU countries provided they have the appropriate agreement in force.

Calls should support Eco-innovative projects in different sectors which aim at the prevention or reduction of environmental impacts or which contribute to the optimal use of resources.

The closing date is September 8.
