PN leader Simon Busuttil is set to lose his personal aide, Kevin Mizzi who, according to sources, is likely to join the team of newly-elected MEP Therese Comodini Cachia.

Mr Mizzi had been part of Dr Busuttil’s teams since his time as an MEP, well before his entry into the local political arena.

Contacted by Times of Malta yesterday, Mr Mizzi declined to comment.

His departure comes just days after the announcement that PN information secretary David Herrera was also on his way out.

Meanwhile, Nationalist MP Claudio Grech yesterday urged his party to be more proactive and to portray itself as an alternative government, rather than bank on just criticising the government.

Mr Grech, the PN’s spokesman for health, said the party should focus more on its policies.

He said the main objective should not be to resort to criticism at a personal level but to chart the way forward.
